CUTTHROAT CAVERNS: RELICS and RUIN

We've changed things up a bit. The next release for Cutthroat Caverns will be RELICS and RUINS, a 'not to be missed' expansion that will greatly enhance gameplay and replayablity.
The big news is that the set will introduce a whole new mechanic to the game, an Event deck. Event cards are flopped with each Encounter and, if they activate, will make the Encounter you know so well a very different, more dangerous experience - or vastly more rewarding.
Sure, Spite can be a pain to deal with - but now try it with the walls closing in and reducing your hand size every turn. Or perhaps instead you'll encounter her in "a place of great evil" where the very location you fight in drains away your life as long as you remain in the room.
Of course, the rewards are greater too. Sure, you'll find the same potions in the deck - but now when you face Ashtongue the Cruel you may draw an event that gives a Relic of power to the person who played the most Action Cards in the final Round - or brave enough to pass their hand through magical flame to claim one.
Then there's the Relics themselves. Try on a Ring of Storing and be able to store an Action Card you play from your hand - for one more use. Let Vampiric Bracers gain you life as you beat down opponents - or give an Evil Eye to anyone to tries to do you harm in the party and thus return the favor.
Plus, in this set, we are delighted to announce the inclusion of some of our recent Create an Encounter contest winners, joined by our own devious new critters. All I can say is, if you ever thought the creatures weren't lethal enough - you needn't be concerned any more.

CUTTHROAT CAVERNS: TOMBS and TOMES

TOMBS and TOMES builds on the Event deck and provides new and powerful Relics as well as 15 very tough new creature Encounters - including a few more winning entries from the contest. As a BONUS, the new creatures will be introduced through two, one-shot adventure modules. Yep, full on, RPG style narratives with a complete story, multiple endings, choices to make, and bits of dungeon goodness above and beyond each Encounter you face.
Cutthroat Caverns has been called a diceless RPG - and the richness these modules add, proves the point. Of course, all the creatures you encounter drop right into the game after your one shot adventure is over - but when they do, they will mean that much more having experienced them in a story first. It is an awesome way to run through all the new stuff.

Fresh Meat is still underway, but a bit further off than anticipated. When it arrives, you can look forward to more unique, new creatures and more importantly - fresh-faced, new adventurers to kill steal them.
Plans call for additional new characters with built-in special abilities, varying life totals, different hand sizes (in short, characters that feel and play differently) and a few more cards for the Attack deck, Item deck and Action card deck to keep things interesting.
CUTTHROAT CAVERNS is a property we are taking very seriously, adding just what it needs to be the best it can be and avoiding those things that will bog it down. So take a look this Summer for the next two releases. You won't be disappointed.
